Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shawnee, an IHG Hotel

Pretty good oveall, but second night kids were yelling and running part of large group for several hours.

The staff was nice and helpful, but the family is way overdue for a major cleaning. The hotel had been previously updated, so it was in the current styling. I visited 3 rooms, each having very dirty carpets in need of shampooing, and air conditioning that smelled funky and not fresh. One room had a vomit stain on the floor and literally smelled like vomit upon entering. I actually had to clean the shower drain of a huge hair wad because the water was backing up, and this was a better alternative than trying to find another room that wasn’t as bad… Room chair had dried butt matter on it… I got the air freshener so I could rest better…

Stayed for two days with kids. The pool was advertised as up and running but when we got there the pool was closed. We were in town for a horse sale and since we had our children, we chose this hotel so they could swim. Very disappointed.
