Fireside Inn & Suites

Felt like hanging out with friends and family. We really enjoyed the lounge and visiting with other people staying at the hotel.

This hotel is under a major remodel, but if you look past the dust and work being done, it is a great place to stay. My kids said the pool was cold but it didn’t stop them from playing for more than an hour, hot tub must be getting worked on it was closed. They had a light dinner and drinks with the room, it was delicious! Breakfast was good and had plenty to choose from. Would stay here again if we get back to the area.

This budget friendly hotel had everything we needed. Basic but clean and friendly. Bonus that we were allowed to gather extended family in town for a funeral in the breakfast room in the evening to be together and do a jigsaw puzzle!

Greeting staff Megan VERY NICE. Breakfast peculiar. Cereal hidden behind the front desk counter. No bowls. Have to even ask if they have cereal. Awkward if you have kids or don’t think to ask. Tables covered with cloth. Easy on the staff but dirty for guests. Hair and crumbs. No continual cleaning. Staff chatting behind their counter. Not like other motels. Ick. Our non pet room had a piece of dog biscuit. Staff was unconcerned.

Staff busy hotel was completely booked, could only get 1 key because of hotel being full. Could only get 1 blanket for our room. No towels in pool area. Check out slow due to breakfast crowd at front desk getting food. Otherwise bartender was great & enjoy the room with tables, family gathered to visit.(breakfast room)

The stuff was great but the room and hallway smell bad like baby dirty diapers.

We stayed 6 nights, and was only given clean towels on night 5, even thought I requested clean towels every day; the housekeeper gave me pool towels one day because there was nothing else available. The manager was very rude, called the local Native Americans alcoholics, and talked about how in England she never encountered such problems. When I complained about no clean towels, and the lack of housekeeping to the manager, she said she would move me to a pool room complimentary, but it never happened. When we left, we had 6 days worth of trash, no clean towels, and the same bed sheets that we slept on all 6 nights. When my child and his guest swam in the pool, the manager watched them like a hawk, and made a scene when they got into the hot tub. (Both boys are 13) The best part of the motel was the lounge; the lady was extremely friendly, and the free soda and food was excellent. I will never stay at this hotel again. Next time, I’ll spend the extra $ and stay at one of the bigger hotel chains in town.
