Sleep Inn

We arrived around midnight after a long days drive. We were told we would have to pay another $100.00 for incidentals which we were not made aware of prior to arrival. Front desk clerk very rude. One of the beds in the room was stripped with the dirty linens left in a chair. The bathroom had urine a hair on the toilet seat, clearly the room had not been cleaned. I called the front desk with my findings and her response was "you're kidding me right"? She came up looked around and asked if we wanted to go to another hotel because she had no more rooms. How inconvenient would this be in the middle of the night after driving 8hrs? Well the money that immediately came out of my account would not be credited back any time soon. She finally decided she had 1 room left and moved us. That room was an improvement. Manager "out of town" and was unable to be reached when I checked out. The only thing we got was excuses and a insincere apology. Terrible staff and terrible experience will never return or recommend to anyone.

The Staff, and also, the Managers, were very skilled with job duties; and most important is that each of them could provide a "sense of family." I always stay at this motel each of the many times when visiting Hickory, NC.

The bathroom is a little too small, hard to close door if you have kids and trying to bath them.

Stayed one night with my 2 children. Lady at the front desk when I checked in was extremely nice and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast that came with the room was very good. Everything from eggs and sausage, waffles and cereal. Toast, bagels and muffins. Saved me $30 by offering the free breakfast. Great deal!

Roaches in the room, bed bug bites all pver us, can share pictures. Drug addicts asking us to buy them rooms outside the doors, construction drinking, yelling and cat calling. Did not feel safe for myself or my kids. Will not stay agai, waiting for an abduction to happen here.

Hotel overall was fine. Good location, near a lot of restaurants and right off of the interstate. Our A/C stopped working in the middle of the night. One of our neighbors was having a major party/argument in the middle of the night, and it woke up my entire family at 3am. Not fun.

Hotel was very clean. Convenient to the highway. Older building so rooms were small. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Other guests were a bit “sus”? The fellow clientele made parents with young children feel a bit out of place and uncomfortable with some possible questionable things going on. No insulation in the walls and a very full room next door awake and yelling at each other late into the night as well.

First experience with Sleep Inn. Stay was two nights in area for family funeral. Was blessed to have our Labradoodle with us, as well. Found the decor to be pleasing and well-appointed. Staff was cordial and efficient, very accommodating.
