It was a quick last minute trip and I was able to find a room to board myself and my 3 kids. Breakfast was delicious, kids had a blast in the pool and we were in a perfect location to get to a lot of trails!

Nice big rooms, dog friendly, pool and sauna were really nice after a day out hiking. Breakfast was carb heavy, but the blueberry waffles were a nice touch. Price was really good for the location - i would recommend to friends and family

Couldn't figure out all the lights, very busy, average cleanliness, nice staff and great pool. Out jacuzzi leaked into the room beneath us so we turned that off. Electrical setup was questionable. Otherwise breakfast was good and the family had a nice time.

Great place to stay for the money. Pool was great for the kid, and breakfast was decent. Help was friendly. Like every hotel…. More hanging hooks needed on the doors/walls.

The location was great! Right by Lake Superior and a quick drive up to Grand Marais. A couple of items were disappointed with, the beds were super uncomfortable and the breakfast was just ok. There was a really long line to get a waffle each morning because there was only one waffle iron. My kids enjoyed the pool though.

We stayed for 2 nights and brought our dog with us. We thought the room was very clean and roomy. There was plenty of green space outside to walk our dog. The breakfast was decent. My kids used the pool and really liked it. Water was warm and pool was never full of people. This location is right in the middle of the north shore so great access to all of the state parks. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a family trip up the North Shore via highway 61 and stayed one night at the AmericInn. With two littles under the age of 3, they allowed us to check-in early. And we could eat in the hotel’s lodge area. The pool and hot tub were great as was our lodging. As a bonus, we lucked out with the claw machine, getting a duck on the second try! Breakfast was outstanding too. Highly recommend it!

Not many options on the north shore. We booked this hotel a few months before vacation not realizing how fast hotels book up, up here. Warned the kids after looking at pictures that hotel might be dated and we just had to make the best of it. Boy was I wrong! The pictures look nothing like the rooms! Our was updated with no quilt bedding or tub in the corner. It exceeded our expectations!! The breakfast was amazing! The pool was warm, with a large hot tub. With a view of Lake Superior!! Don’t wait on booking this hotel!! I was so happy we did!

We choose this location to be close to the state parks on Lake Superior and an hour away from our favorite park -Grand Portage. We did five parks in two days to see the marvelous water falls spring thaw. This hotel is one of the best on the North Shore Drive if you want clean rooms, friendly staff, nice surroundings without over-spending on rooms! Breakfast is average and they have a pool. We loved our room suite with a jacuzzi. The toilet/shower is separate from the sink area making it convenient to get ready in the morning when you have multiple family members.
