Super 8 by Wyndham Manistee

Our reservation had no fifth pullout chair, sofa or rollaway when we checked in, as paid and guaranteed for 5 in our reservation and your itinerary. No mention that this was not as reserved. When we balked we had to go thru two calls with manager and desk clerk would not let us talk to him/her. We were told the rooms weren’t for five, and most people slept three kids in one bed; they didn’t have any more rollaways, and the only thing they could do was offer us a second room at half price in addition to our current price. I told them that was unacceptable. In fact, we paid for a room which was not extremely nice in a nit-so-nice part of town, for $283, which I thought was high anyway for a Super 8. The lobby served as a makeshift eating area and walk through for breakfast, which was VERY minimal—not even cereal, or anything warm. Only about four tables which barely sat two. So desk clerk called back manager and we were told they could only take a rollaway from some other customer and give it tobus( putting a guilt trip on us!). But we had three adolescents 10, 12, 14, so we had to have it, so that is what they did. I thought they should be able to borrow one even from another motel, or offer us our money back to go elsewhere, or at least be courteous since this was their fault and not ours—no notice to us or info about not taking five. NOTHING said ahead of time about rooms not holding five or sleeping three to a bed ! Very poorly handled. Won’t be recommending them

So you get what you pay for. It was clean, but had a more musty feel. No elevator to get to the second floor. How do you expect people to get the luggage and children up steps? It worked, but not ideal. And as for the continental breakfast, not much picking choice. Could of at least had a waffle maker. No active employee attending the breakfast area either.

went to the area for a family reunion... Was a little disappointed in the fact that a man was trying to get a room ahead of me at the check in and the girl was charging him what I paid and I thought I was getting a discount going through you...
