Liked - Quiet, free kayaking, large field behind the building for playing with the kids, nature trail. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage and potatoes were all tasty. Loft had pool table and several board games. Pool was open 24 hours, 9am to 9 pm for everyone and 9 pm to 9 am for adults. Not like - Parking lot had limited room.

The staff is so inviting and friendly. There was so much that you could do besides the pool and little kid play area. Next time we have more free time we’ll kayak and go biking on the trails. We’ll be back!

My family has stayed at Crooked River Lodge several times and normally have a positive experience. We arrived on a Friday after skiing and decided to go to the pool/hot tub. Unfortunately, they were hosting an “open swim” for twenty kids in the area who were rude and poorly behaved. The next night, we again went to the pool where several teenagers were displaying some unwanted PDA. Since we noticed people getting let in without using a key, I am assuming they were not hotel guests. Not sure we will go back.

This was our fourth time staying here. It's a yearly family, Christmas gathering. Stafford's is beautiful. Enjoyable. The staff is the best. Everyone is so kind. The atmosphere is so relaxing and just a family feel all while we're there.

This lodge was by far one of the nicest places I have stayed in. They had amazing breakfast each day which provided me and my children nourishment until dinner time. They used sausage from a local business and homemade bread. The game room was perfect for kids, fire pit perfect for relaxation and meeting new people, and a pool area with a waterfall! The front desk and kitchen staff were extremely kind, accommodating and helpful. It is the perfect place to relax and step away from hectic schedules. I was sad to leave, but can’t wait to return for another visit to Michigan. Thank you from WV, for making our first trip to Michigan so memorable!

This hotel is full of pleasant surprises! The bed was comfortable, and our room had ample space with a separate sitting area that included a couch, table and chairs, and a door to a balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. Our room also had a refrigerator and microwave so that we didn't have to go out for food. The rustic lodge decor adds to the atmosphere, making it feel like a true getaway. There are plenty of onsite activities for the whole family - including free kayaking, nightly campfires, a game room (with a pool table), a little kids' play area, and a swimming pool. The breakfast also had several warm and cold options, and we were treated with kind service throughout our entire stay. Even though we were on an anniversary trip, we kept thinking that this this would be a great place for a family getaway. We look forward to returning with our kids!

This was our first time visiting the lodge and we would definitely come back! They have a cute kid area under the stairs that my son loved to play in. The breakfast was a step above your typical hotel breakfast. Everyone that worked there was so nice and helpful! The room we had was pretty big. There was plenty of room to get around even wioth the pack n play set up.

We came across this place when looking for a last minute hotel and we were pleasantly surprised, the little touches like kayaks and paddle boats, fishing gear, popcorn, coffee, iced tea & water all available in the lobby were what put this place at the top! We didn’t have our kids but it was a very family friendly place with a play area in the lobby, large rooms with balconies, and the outdoor fire pit and large lawn would give plenty of room for kids to run! Very friendly staff, even the cleaners offered smiles and good mornings! We loved our stay and definitely will be back!

This was our 4th time staying there. Schools were in session so no screaming kids. Us old people like that. Always an excellent view from the balcony. Liked watching the geese with goslings and the other birds.
