Quaint hotel, very clean, walkable to everything. Free ice cream coupons given to the kids for the ice cream shack located just steps away. Staff was very friendly.

I came here with my dad and it satisfied the expectations of different generations and needs. We enjoyed the patio and gardens and easy walk to town. It’s right next to the police station and has a s’mores bar and indoor pool. So, will come again and bring the kids.

The down home friendliest hotel I ever stayed at. Like staying with family. TJ at the front desk welcomed me and treated all of us like family. Excellent location.can walk everywhere Fire pit out back l with smores for late night gathering and meeting lots of other guests. Not pretentious. Wholesome kindness. One of my best stays. Will return!!

A little gem! Our stay was at the beginning of May, so before peak season. We started in Portland on Tuesday, went to Bar Harbor, and then traveled back to Portland for a flight on Saturday. On Thursday we booked this hotel for Friday to Saturday. Luckily the hotel had availability but we would have booked sooner during peak season. The owners, who greeted us at the front desk, were so friendly and inviting. The hotel room was clean and just what we needed for a one night trip. We were on the second floor and could hear some people upstairs (I think they were children running around), but it didn't bother us. The breakfast accommodations were perfect, with jams, sausages, make your own waffles, juices, etc. Last but not least - the flowers outside along with the bridge to town are BEAUTIFUL and so well maintained! You can tell the owners and staff who work here truly care.

As many have shared, the property is a little old and dated. We visited when the hotel was just opening up for spring and not quite everything was ready to go, but that’s to be expected! The staff couldn’t be more helpful! When we shared that none of the ice machines were working (yet), we were given access to the kitchen for ice. The biggest thing I would say is that if you have any problems at all or need anything, don’t hesitate to ask! Our room was clean and we were facing the river! The location absolutely can’t be beat! I did take a look at the pool and decided it wasn’t for me. It looked a little dirty and it could very well be that it was something they were still working on as they were opening up for the season. It’s very shallow and meant for children. Breakfast was great for an included continental breakfast! We also loved the candy dishes everywhere! As soon as you step inside, you can feel the love and warmth that the owners have for this hotel. I feel like this is the kind of place that is hard to find these days and it really is special! If you are looking for a clean, friendly, quirky, and super accommodating place to stay in downtown, I definitely recommend!!!!

Property was unique and had great charm. The breakfast was fantastic, and all of the staff were very helpful. My family of four would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area!

Eleven family members stayed in 3 rooms at the Riverhouse. It felt like a boutique hotel with all the little niceties like the patio area with comfortable chairs around a fire pit and the makings for S’mores, glasses for wine, and coffee 24/7. The continental breakfast had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It’s within walking distance of everything! We had a great time.

This was really a lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. There is clearly a lot of thought put into the hotel-- games in the lobby, umbrellas for the rain, books with restaurants, etc. The pool was great for the extremely rainy day we were there. My kids loved the candy in the lobby and an expansive smores bar-- there's a firepit in the back for roasting. There is lovely outdoor space/garden in the back to relax. nice to have breakfast included. The hotel is SO convenient to Camden center-- restaurants, waterfront, ice cream.

Outside the property, there was an impressive amount of flowers which really showed how well the property was maintained. Then the smores bar was really expansive. There was a lot of effort in the details of the place. Our room was clean, but I was noticing the bedding material seemed older than expected...but then I realized we were in a pet room (but no pet) so I think that might have been purposeful. Also, the pool I believe recently reopened. It was great with the kids to have the pool but they are definitely still working on fixing the area up (or need to)
