Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Rockford-Loves Park, an IHG Hotel

Enjoy my stay here , very comfortable and clean. My kids loved it

We were there for a family reunion and a 60 th Anniversary.

Great room and very comfy for the family. Only issue was that the pool was under maintenance, but the front desk worker called their sister hotel down the road so we could still swim. We didn’t tho as we still needed dinner plus the drive there and back.

Fun mini golf place to go to with kids right next to it. easy access off of the highway

The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. After 12 hours driving it was very nice. The desk manager looked up a different route through Chicago to help me avoid traffic. They were both very kind. The pancake machine was having a belt code error and the two people working was not able to fix it. A lot of families were sad. They was no sign explaining it was broke. The price was not really affordable but a we needed a place to stay before Chicago.

We were suppose to arrive on the 5th but we were redirected to Springfield hospital for a family member that was extremely ill. We called the hotel to tell them we would not make it and they made a note and would keep the reservation open for the 6th. We did mention possibly getting a refund or moving the funds to the another night but were told to contact Hotels.com The hotel was not authorized to offer a refund but Hotels.com could. We arrived on the 6th but the reservation had been canceled even though they saw the note. No big deal they created a new reservation. Spoke to hotel staff in hopes I could get a refund for the 5th. (No cancellation) Informed again to call hotels.com. Hotels.com said they submitted a request to the general manager of the hotel for approval. Received a response from hotels.com but the information wasn't accurate and they indicate the general manager of the hotel refused a refund because "because cancellations or changes made after check-in are subject to a hotel fee equal to 100 percent of the total amount paid for the reservation." You can see my issue with this response. Was really hoping someone might be open to the possibility that we had an emergency and would be granted a refund. We might of stayed for several more days. It really is one of the few hotels in that area worth the money. But in the future we will stay with family members.

Perfect spot for me in Rockford. A great hotel and a great staff. Safe and quiet. Even when the entire hotel was full of baseball families, it was seamless. I wish the windows opened. Otherwise, I love this hotel

Room smelled like mold and the room air had a lot of moisture and felt clammy despite of the air conditioning running. Wallpaper was bubbling in the bathroom and the bar near the toilet was rusty. Black mold near the tub. The room was on the first floor. Upon arrival we asked for a higher room but they were booked out. It was noisy since they had some children tournament.
