Hotel Clermont

Customer service was excellent. Rooftop bar was beautiful at sunset. Location is convenient. Noise level was mentioned in other reviews but was not a problem for our family. Carpets could be cleaned better in one of our rooms but not terrible. Overall was clean and enjoyable. Appreciated the free water bottles. Would have been nice to have a fridge and was offered one when asked upon check in.

Hotel Clermont was recommended by a client for a business stay. I went for the bunk rooms to try and stay affordably. The bunk rooms would be great for kids or a group of friends on holiday but weren't really accommodating for business needs. The staff was friendly and the location was central to many things. There are quite a few visitors through the night as the attached restaurant seems to be a happening place. I would stay there again for fun but might look for other options when visiting on business. Perhaps the Solo rooms with a King or queen bed would be more comfortable for my needs but were quite a bit more pricey than the bunks or other options.

Pros: The room was clean and the decor is cute--retro and fun. Check-in staff and all staff polite. Rooftop bar is lovely with a great view of the skyline. Good location close to little five points and Virginia Highlands. Cons: These things might not be a problem for everyone, but I was there to visit family and it wasn't a great fit for me. Kind of a party hotel. Loud drunk people down the hall at night, the "café" has no one on staff and just prepackaged things for breakfast, no healthy options as even all the cereals were packed with sugar. In the morning, no one could break a $20 so that I could tip the valet and housekeeping. Hallway from the restaurant and roof elevator smelled of vomit. Valet app was confusing.

Lovely hotel with clean rooms and good amenities. The food from the taco truck on the roof is delicious. I definitely used the earplugs that they provided-- the strip club underground is pretty loud but with the earplugs I slept like a baby.
