Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bradenton-Lakewood Ranch, FL

The first room we were given, on the first floor, had a terrible musty, mildew smell. We informed the front desk the following morning and were transferred to another first floor room. It too had a musty, mildew smell, though not as strong as our first room. The front desk personnel made no verbal apology for any inconvenience, nor offered any adjustment to our bill. Therefore, we vacated the property a day early than our original departure date. In addition, both rooms had two queen beds, but only 1 nightstand in the middle, with no nightstands on the other side of the two beds. This made electrical outlets and USB ports minimally accessible. We visit the Bradenton/Sarasota area frequently to visit family. This is the first time we have stayed at this property. It will be the last time.

Hotel lost my reservation. Showed them confirmation. Manager said It was my mistake and they were overbooked. No rooms available. Left to find a place to stay, at midnight with my child!

I honestly didn’t like anything about the property , I can not believe this property was recommended by pirate city for incoming families . Rooms are dirty/ have multiple people on drugs staying at the facility and staff members know and do not do anything.

First of all THEY LIED WIRH FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. We paid for a suite but we didn’t get it. The manger said we didn’t pay for the suite but on hotels.com they were given the picture of a suite. We have 5 people in our family. 3 adult kids had to share a bed. No cot. We were there for 2 nights AND THEY NEVER CLEANED OUR ROOM OR CHANGED THE TOWELS. I was told by management that they don’t turn down the rooms every day. They don’t send housekeeping in every day. I was blown away. We asked for a cot and the manager pretended to click his mouse and take 5 mins to come up with nothing. He also told us there were no more suites or cots. The second night we walked in and an employee was walking out of the office and we could see 2 cita folded up standing in the middle Of the room. We also asked the 2nd night for a cot and they said there were none available. The hotel was only half full as the parking lot in the rear of the building was vacant. No one in the office should be in any position of authority. The hotel is filthy. They don’t clean the rooms daily. Overall deplorable. I’me a blogger on social media with over 236,000 followers and I will do my best to make sure they DO NOT BOOK here. Shame on you Hotels for showing allowing a picture of a suite and then we get there with no recourse or anyone to speak on our behalf. I WILL NEVER USE Hotels.com again as well. You allowed them to post a false picture. You assisted in the transaction and allow this to happen.

3 sets of families booked online through Hotels.com and the picture and description for the hotel was for a suite: 2 queen beds and 1 pullout couch. 2 of us had 5 ppl. We were given standard rooms and were told it was an error with Hotels not them. They offered a rollaway bed and then after 30 min of waiting were told they didn't have any. The bathroom floor had hair in the corners. 2 out of 3 light bulbs were broken. And the buffet was limited where they served brown bruised bananas for the 2 days there. Will NOT stay here again.

Great safe, clean place to stay when visiting family in the area. We stayed 3 nights and were pleased with our visit.

What I liked about this property was the availability of fitting in 1-5 people, having free parking, free breakfast and cleanliness. The property was close to the relative’s home and the room allowed for a family of five; however, only two beds, so I guess that if you have five you need a roller bed requested ahead of time. The property had a fireplace inside and outside which made a cozy place for reading , drinking coffee and taking pictures by the Christmas tree. Finally, the staff were very friendly.

Tara was the worst, bad impression since I walk in into the lobby, she barely was able to talk, she looks she was either drunk or in drugs, she excuse herself saying she haven’t sleep and that she was moving, she give me a handy cap room, the smell on the room was between old wet carpet and dirt, I was trying to fell leave the hotel the same night but I felt bad with my two kids, so we stay, we went to the beach next day, and came back just to sleep, the toilet brake and the front desk was kind if helpful he offer help with paper clip but he also stated he doesn’t get paid enough to do the extra mile or call maintenance (that is not available until Monday) I get it, you get for what you paid but I feel that this place is just awful. Smells like weed, ppl drinking outside making noises, having a party on the front of the hotel is just not right.. I would never event stay in any hotel or sister hotel if this chain. I hated and so my fam.

Great checkin! Person on duty 4:00ish on Sunday was fantastic! Great customer service! Text options for checkout were available but we chose to deal with desk staff. Again great experience! Will definitely stay there again if in that area! We love Countryy In and suites wherever we go with travle soccer and family visits. NEVER a bad visit!
