Acqua Hotel

We stayed here for our anniversary and the staff had left us a bottle of champagne in our room for us! We thought that was a very nice surprise. We stayed in the junior king suite. It was a ground floor unit with a patio to sit and view the bay. We used the fire pits on the second floor screened in sunroom. It was great for the cool nights. They offer wine, cheese and fruit every evening along with fresh baked cookies. This hotel seems to have been recently updated, they thought of everything down to providing cotton swabs and cotton balls in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Full breakfast every morning was very good. We loved the location as it was easy to get to Napa Valley, Sausalito and San Francisco. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Our family had a great experience at the Acqua Hotel! An ideal location in Marin. Complimentary breakfast & parking. The hotel runs along side of the highway, but we couldn't hear the traffic at all in our rooms. I believe all rooms overlook Richardson Bay. Extremely courteous staff!

The room we booked was really poor quality. It was a delux queen, we’ve stayed a number of times in a junior suite so assumed it would be a smaller version of that. It was very dated, dark, the ‘partial view’ was blocked by a tree. Patio had a large concrete wall making it feel claustrophobic. Needed to be updated considerably. My husband went to desk to ask for help, they upgraded us which was great, nice room. However when we came back after dinner the man at the desk was quite nasty with us, saying we shouldn’t expect to be upgraded, next time book the room we want. Really inappropriate for a hospitality person to speak like that. Certainly ruined our evening. We have enjoyed the hotel in the past but will skip it going forward.

Amazing staff, amazing views and amazing free breakfast buffet that included espresso coffee bar (all included). I’d say the value of the breakfast alone is $30 per person per day! Stayed in room 110 and was even able to walk the lovely path to an amazing Italian dinner. They also Offer free wine and cheese at happy hour and free bikes and umbrellas. Can’t say enough. Stayed with 3 kids and they offered an additional roll away bed for a $25 fee per night.

We had a lovely stay at the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley. We stayed in a junior suite which was lovely. This is how hotels should operate - everything from cleanliness to the details behind all the amenities, comfortable beds, bath tub, wine-cheese hour, amazing breakfast. Just a gem of a hotel and can't wait to return.

Absolutely amazing stay for my family. It was actually far above our price point but the manager (Dan or Dave I think) made our stay worthwhile with a nice bottle of wine for me and my wife. Many many pluses for this place. Great staff, amazing serene location near the marina with great views. The free breakfast offered was actually fantastic. I have no negatives I can think of for this property. Even though it might be a bit above our price point usually I'm going to try to stay here any time we are in the area. My family highly recommends this place you won't be disappointed.

I was staying at Acqua Hotel for two nights and I wasn't informed that they will have a lot of guests and a wedding party. I was exhausted and wanted to sleep but the constant noise from outside and inside was a nightmare.There were people shouting late, kids screaming... It was impossible to relax and enjoy my stay. I found myself regretting my decision to stay at this hotel.

Situation litterally next to the frreway, the location of this hotel was terrible. Adding that the charming town of Mill Valley is approximately 4-5 miles from the property ‘Mill Valley’ is hardly a fair decription of the hotel. Awful noice in our room in the mornings from a laundry drier. Loaner bikes (nice Trek MTBs) were an important reason for our choosing the place, were suddenly on our second day no longer available for kids under 15. Our planned excursion to Muir Woods was therefore made impossible.
