Golden Haven Hot Springs

It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and the mud bath was awesome. We definitely would come back and would recommend this hotel to friends and family .

When you drive into Golden Haven, you feel as if you have driven into a motel from the 80s. However, the look is deceptive, as the grounds are well kept, and the rooms spacious and clean. This was our 3rd time at Golden Haven, and each time has been a pleasant experience. For this trip, we had a room over the main building. The room was large with a king sized bed and plenty of room to move around. Refrigerator, coffee machine, and microwave were all included. The bed was comfortable, and the shades kept out the sunlight. The only slight knock for me was the bathroom was a bit small, though could be my personal preference. Check-in was very easy, as was check-out. The staff are friendly and efficient. The parking when you enter is a bit tight, though there is a large parking area in the back of Golden Haven. There is a large, heated pool plus jacuzzi's. Unfortunately, we did not get in this time due to our schedule. There is an outdoor sun deck over the pool with multiple lounge chairs. There are various fire pits around the property with seating, and a large area behind the hotel with stuff for kids and adults to do. Ping Pong, Cornhole, and bikes for guests to rent. Of course the highlight of Golden Haven is the mud bath package. My wife and I did the package that included mud baths, a refreshing mineral jacuzzi dip after that, and then into a relaxing room where we laid down with music.

The property is wonderful! Conveniently located, nice clean pool/jacuzzi with 3 different temps, mud bath! We had a great time! The only problem was the AC was quite loud when it's on, so my kids (who slept in the outside room where the AC was) complained they couldn't sleep very well due to the noises.

We found Golden Haven last minute and did a mud bath in addition to stay at the resort. What a cute family run little place - the staff was amazing and the room was so comfortable. We loved spending our anniversary at the hot springs and having a super relaxing and wonderful time!

Perfect weekend…it was nice to spend the time there with the family… the suites were perfect to accommodate the group

We chose this property because it rated as "family friendly", but it really wasn't. You share the mineral pools with spa quests so our kids really couldn't be kids in the pool. The walls between each room are not insullated well so you can hear conversations, TVs, and 'other' without effort. We did enjoy the yard games and the walkability to downtown, and they had cafe tables outside each room that we spent time playing cards.
