Aspen Hotel Soldotna

Thanks to Aubrea, who originally checked us in, our stay was rescued from a potentially horrible stay. We booked a King room with a pull-out bed for our granddaughter. When we checked in, we were told the room didn't have a pull-out bed, so Aubrea helped us find a room with two double beds and a sofa bed. When we opened the sofa bed, the coils could be felt under the thin mattress so it wasn't fit for sleeping. We then asked for a roll-in single bed, which was available but again not fit for sleeping. Then we attempted to fold the sofa bed back into place, but it wouldn't fit or go back to its sofa state. But Aubrea was so kind and professional, and helped find us a family room that fit our needs. Aubrea is to be congratulated and rewarded for being a fine employee and ambassador for Aspen Hotels! She saved the day for us and our view of Aspen Hotels in Soldotna, Alaska.

Lovely hotel, right in town. Friendly staff. Area behind hotel to walk dog, kids, and enjoy the beautiful river and wildlife. We only stayed for one evening, but the beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The kids loved the pool.

Was super bummed the pool wasn’t open. Nothing on the website showed that it was closed. My kids were really disappointed when we checked in and they told us. Staff did a good job trying to find us a community pool but that’s not the same.

Wasn’t informed the pool and spa we being refurbished, was not told at time of booking nor was it stated on the website, kids were kinda bummed.

Other than the kids staying there for a hockey tourney that were running around unsupervised (thank you parents...) it was a very good stay! Location is super convenient, rooms are spacious and comfortable. This is my go-to place for staying in Soldotna, AK

I booked this room for my birthday, solely to sit in the hot tub and have my kids swim in the swimming pool. it clearly stated on the website that there was a pool and hot tub available. however, once we got there (the reservations were already made), they told us that the pool and hot tub were shut down until February for maintenance. we were so disappointed. Also, the continental breakfast was not available, either. The prices did NOT reflect the absence of those amenities. This is false advertising and leads to grave disappointment!! Boooo!!

I chose this Hotel for the pool, inviting my 2 grandchildren to stay over, when checking in was told out of order and they were waiting on parts. Would of changed my plans had I known when booking!!

Had a lot of fun and my kids enjoyed the pool! Close walk to Safeway and the River.

Very nice stay. The kids love the pool, and as always, the breakfast area was kept clean and well stocked even though it was packed with guests. The kind and friendly woman who takes care of the breakfast area is a real treasure and works so hard to keep everything running smoothly.
