Metropole Hotel and Spa

Lovely friendly hotel, service was fabulous, we stayed with three young children and felt very at home here. They especially loved the swimming pool and the buffet breakfast. Dinner is served a bit late for children (6pm) but we enjoyed exploring the local area to find somewhere to eat. We stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space, we liked that there were two separate areas within the same room.

Great room for a family of 4. Has a few steps to get to it.

Good family holiday break. Sure it can be better in places as some of the property needs a refurbishment, but overall we had a great stay as a family and the spa was loved by everyone. The family room was a great size, good bathroom, clean and comfy beds. Breakfast was consistently good and the evening food (whilst not cheap) was excellent.

Lovely stay with family for Elan Valley, breskfeast incredible, pool, spa fantastic and clean, bar great and nice atmosphere but do book prior if you wish to eat there as gets busy, probably due to be being good. Great size rooms and bathroom, a little dated but nice as different to most plywood hotels these days.

A nice hotel. Just stayed for the 1 night to meet up with friends. We did the spa for the afternoon. It was clean but not the best spa. The Jacuzzi wasn't working but thats by unforeseen circumstances so couldn't be helped. Because the pool is in a conservatory type building the noise echoes. So when children came in to swim it got quite loud so not relaxing at all and hard to hear a conversation. The staff were nice and friendly though. We had dinner in the restaurant and I was not impressed by the menu choices. So that was disappointing. What we did order was done to a good standard and again the staff nice and friendly. A nice hotel but I don't think I would come back again.
