What’s a very enjoyable Family stay at the golf course. We chose this place. As it was on offer and it exceeded our expectations. In many ways. The service was polite, friendly and efficient. The hotel was very clean and the spa facilities were good for families, the only negative point was that at two of our three breakfast servings, The room was very busy and people were having to wait for a table. However, this was a bank holiday weekend and we were hitting the breakfast service at 9 am which clearly was a peak time. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The staff are amazing , the hotel is nice cant really complain in that department. Breakdaft could have more option as not everyone eats pork or eggs.
Only issue just going as an ethnic family you do get some unwanted attention ( beady eyes and stares ). I've stayed here twice now the first visit was fine the 2nd was a little uncomfortable in the pool with children and receiving looks from other guests as though we didnt belong.
But that neither here or there i think its just the area maybe.
On a positive note beautiful scenery on the grounds, staff are super friendly, helpful & welcoming thank you. 😊

Was upgraded to s family room as the room i was in prior had no signal slthough wifi available.
Hotel was nice and warm , was unable to hse the gym n swim facilities as u had to leave early so cant comment on that. Breakfast options not so great if your vegan / dont consume pork. If you arruve late and muss dinner the options are also limited so eat prior or arrive early.
I will atay here again but be abit more orepared food / snack wise

Staff all really nice. However there was Christmas parties on very near our room both nights and the music carried through thudding away until 1am. Not great for a family room with a child in.

We enjoyed the pool but it was disappointing to find that there were limited hours for children, which meant we were kicked out of a largely empty pool a couple of times. What's more, reception didn't seem to know the hours that children were banned, so we made a special effort to get back form an excursion to get half an hour in the pool, only to find that it was literally about to close to children. We were also kept up all night by a beep - every minute - which turned out to have been coming from the fridge - which until then had been a positive amenity - not least because of the complimentary bottled water. It was disappointing for a hotel of that size not to have some kind of common area - a games room or relaxed seating area - other than the bar. The breakfast was impressive - a broad choice of hot drinks, fruit juices, cereals, fruit (including dried fruit), bread, hot and cold buffet and pastries.

Only stayed for one night in a family room while visiting family. The hotel and rooms are clean and staff are friendly and helpful. The children loved the pool and the mini golf/crazy golf on site. We would definitely stay here again.

After having a pleasant stop here in October, I decided to treat my mum to 4 nights here in the family apartment. On arrival we were told where to go, but we were offered no help with our suitcase or bags; the apartment is not the easiest to get to; especially with an older person and baby in toe. We then attempted to eat in the restaurant, but the waiting staff were reluctant to find us a table despite the restaurant being empty and the receptionist informing us that it "it quiet tonight". We ate out in the end (at The Wilford Bridge), thr food was great and service was great. The apartment was lovely, but it was dusty and had cobwebs; I don't think that it gets used often, but the manager should be checking these things regularly. There is also a lot of building work going on at the moment, which I think will be lovely when it is finished, but isn't ideal for visitors at the moment; to go for a swim you have to walk through some of the areas they are working in - not ideal with an 11-month-old. The house keeper brought us a hogh-chair and the ladies in the leisure reception were lovely. The golf facilities are also great; it is just a shame about everything else. New owners have taken over since our last visit, and this is definitely evident. We found this very sad as it was a wonderful place before. They don't accept cash and take money without prior approval, so do be conscious of this when booking - I didn't see the small print.
