Our state was excellent! We appreciate it the staff so much! They were able to accommodate all of our needs and wishes happily and beyond. The room was small but adequate for our family. However it was perfect for a weekend in London. It is well situated close to the Paddington tube station. Very easy to get on the circle line and explore London. I would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to stay in the city! Thank you

Our family room for 5 was a bit smaller than expected but otherwise our short stay was terrific. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and all in working order. Nice location.

We stayed for 4 nights (2 adults, two children) and had a very good experience. Clean rooms and good comfort! Nicely located close to paddington, and the surrounding area has eveything you need. Very nice place, and a wonderful staff!

Anne and other staff are wonderful. It’s a family run business for 25 years now and they take pride in their property and patrons.

We are only here one night. This hotel staff couldn’t be nice. Such kind people. We arrived late due to cancelled flight and they were very accommodating. Even letting our children who arrived the next day store their bags while we waited for our airbnb check in time. Perfect hotel for the price. Great location near Paddington and many shops and restaurants.

I often stay at the Athena the night before my return flight to Canada because it is close to Paddington Station and the excellent new Elizabeth Line, which goes to Heathrow for just 14 pounds. This time I was given an upgrade to a bigger room on the top floor, which would have served a small family quite well. It was quite warm outside, but the attic room was not at all stuffy. The windows open, and you can leave them ajar at night because the street goes quiet, and the hotel is set back from the road. The Athena is consistently clean, and the plumbing works well.
I have given it five stars this time because of the upgrade, and because my bed was more comfortable than my previous stay. MY only criticism is that there could have been a luggage rack in the room - and this means that there was space for one! Also, why not supply a microwave oven, though this would be quite unusual for a London hotel...

Hotel is great, we stayed with 2 kids and 3 adults in a bunkbed, twin, and double bed room. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. We liked how close it was to Hyde park and Kensington Gardens. Check in was very smooth and the staff are all very friendly

A late booking whilst in London. The lady on reception was really helpful as she let us leave our rucksacks there well before check in time so the family, including 3 young children could go off for the day without heavy baggage. The room was a clean and comfortable family room which was perfect for a quick stay over. Breakfast was offered but we chose to move on early.
