Best Western Lichfield City Centre The George Hotel

Stayed for 2 nights and had a small family wedding reception here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, everyone I spoke to was always extremely happy to help. A special thank you to Tony and his team for the excellent service provided for a special family occasion. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was extremely attentive and professional. The quality of the food was brilliant and everything was served piping hot, together and on time (we had a group of around 16 people). Air conditioning in the function made the heatwave event much more comfortable. The main downside was the rooms are not set up to cope with a heatwave as there is no air con in the rooms and the windows open only 2 inches. Our room was also opposite Walkabout which was open til 3am and had a balcony directly opposite our room. This meant we had very little privacy as the pub goers could see directly into our room and obviously it was too hot to wear very much! I didn’t sleep well so we actually didn’t stay the second night due to the heat & discomfort unfortunately, but I cannot fault any other part of our stay.
