Overall it was a wonderful stay. We stayed in the fabulous Mansion Suite for my husbands 50th. Overall the experience was wonderful.. the games room is brilliant for kids and adults. Great grounds to walk on.. I also took two cakes with us. One to have bought in at dinner which was lovely and the other at breakfast, which they completely forgot to do and frustratingly I only realised when we were driving back home.. What was highly dissapointing was that due to a water issue we had no water to flush, shower etc for almost 3 hours. Apparently it was a local issue however we were not warned or notified. My kids had gone swimming and were sat in the bathtub for over 20 mins due to no running water to shower till I got fed up and wrapped them up In towels. Literally half hour before checking out, it returned. It was annoying given how much I had paid for that one night. No apologies or anything. Paying close to £500 for a nights stay and not having running water for the last few hours was not fair

Beautiful hotel with many lovely facilities. The grounds are stunning. As I was staying with my daughter and her children (6 & 1) we were required to stay in a junior suite as the hotel won’t allow the small travel cot and camp size bed to be added to the standard rooms, despite these rooms being quite large. When booking I expected to be in a junior suite in a courtyard/garden however our room was on the second floor with no lift, this was not ideal with young children. Overall the stay was lovely but more thought should be given when allocating rooms to families with small children.
