The Bay Colwell

Nice accommodation fairly close to the beach. However, it was not suitable for a family of 5. Good double and twin rooms, but the fifth bed was in the kitchen / lounge on a sofa “bed” that was really not fit for purpose. Very, very uncomfortable. Asked at reception for a spare mattress and didn’t get anything. In the end after two nights on the other actual sofa (which was preferable to the sofa bed) went out and bought a blow up air bed!

Asked for travel cot to be ready on arrival, it wasn’t. Huge urine stain over one of the sofas which took a whole day for someone to come to sort it out. Accommodation felt dirty in places. Bed was I comfy - mentioned this but nothing done. Hot tub wasn’t on the decking area but instead around the back which isn’t handy when the children are wanting to go in it. Indoor pool very cold, children were shivering and we couldn’t stay in it longer then 20 minutes. Was very disappointed with the staff, they didn’t seem to care and the place felt neglected compared to the other site of Whitecliff bay.

The whole trip was like a dream. Megan looked after us the moment we arrived with first class service. The chalet was incredible surpassed all expectations. Really lovely furnishings and very modern. There was a lovely sunny garden area all gated in which was great for our young children. The hot tub was very clean and was a lovely treat! The whole resort was well looked after, great clean pool, soft play (looked brand new). And to top it off the beach was only a small walk away with shops and lovely restaurants. The whole holiday was amazing. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back! Thank you Megan for giving us first class customer service, so friendly and helpful and an absolute asset to the resort. And the whole lovely Stay Away team for looking After us. A great hidden gem!

Wonderful stay, super clean and like new luxury cottage. Perfect for family get away. Wanted for nothing in terms of equipment for cooking etc… very clean hot tub too. Friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

The accommodation was lovely and perfect for us as a family, loved the board games. |Only issue was when we arrived on the Friday the hot tub wasnt hot and had t be left until the Saturday. Bit disappointing for our daughters who were excited to go in as it was the main reason for our stay.
