This is our second visit this year, love the hotel & friendly staff. Great bar area & service (especially Brian) Food at Mizumi excellent again (just need the light to be slightly brighter on the booth seats) Lovely time in the spa again, only small but luckily not many people in at the time (though we were surprised children were allowed in-would be better to be more peaceful)

We just got back from a short stay here the location is perfect short distance to lake an shops, however I do I feel the parking is expensive at £12 per night. We ate in evening in hotel terrace and food was lovely and had a good choice for kids, again breakfast had good variety of hot and cold options we arrived at 8am and there was already a few people seats so I can imagine it gets busy in peak season. Room was clean and spacious. Spa was lovely and allowed children until 2pm however my daughter wasn't a fan so we didn't stay long. Overall great facilities and plenty options to eat an drink on site for those who dont want to go back out.

Hotel was great for a child-free weekend away to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a hot tub room, which we used multiple times and were able to order cocktails from the bar directly to the hot tub! Spa was great too. 10 minute walk to Bowness and the lake (and lots of pubs, bars and restaurants), so the location was perfect.

The room is extremely small that I thought I am in Japan instead of UK, it is full of fragile decoration, you need to be very careful, it’s not suitable for a family with child. I was very disappointed to their hot spa, it’s totally different from my expectation, the spa tub is too small and not hot enough, probably not a best choice if you are looking for hot spa experience. Also, I can’t believe hotel charges for £12 parking fee when we already paid for room fee.

We recently stayed at Lakes hotel and spa and overall it was a fabulous stay. We had a junior suite with a hot tub which was incredible, the room is perfect my only complaint would be that the bathroom is slightly dated and let it down slightly. The service from the hotel staff was outstanding, greeted with a glass of Prosecco on arrival, shown around the hotel and even got a ride into bowness in the Bentley! The terrace bar is amazing, gorgeous view and fabulous cocktails. Again my only complaint would be that one of the staff members kept telling me off for vaping and calling it “smoking” there are no smoking signs but it doesn’t say anywhere about “no vaping” I feel like this needs to be more clear. Breakfast was just ok and didn’t bother the second day and just went for lunch in bowness instead. The spa was great - got a little busy late morning but we went around 10 and it was so peaceful and relaxing, even got a little nap on one of the loungers. Mizumi the new restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was great and again great service. Location is perfect if you like to explore too. All in all a great stay just a couple of little hiccups but it did not impact on our lovely trip away.

Rude shift manager. Booked two rooms, one for me and my daughter and one for my parents. Before booking a 9 year old would be with us and may be in a hot tub room visiting.Arrived and hot tub room was in Really bad location (above hotel kitchen and overlooking a brick wall). Swapped rooms with parents and myself and daughter stayed in hot tub room. We dont like hot tubs and when room service arrived we asked for the hot tub to be switched off. Member of staff had poor english and was very rude. 2hours later i received a phone call from duty manager saying my daughter should not be in the room, we’d broke the rules etc etc. i went to reception to explain and she was again hugely rude. Shame. Also found swimming pool access restrictive for children and the countless rules. We have stayed a few times before but noticed the place just isnt as nice as it once was. Not worth the money. Much better alteratives

Such a stunning hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially the concierge, Mark, who was so lovely and friendly. We stayed in the junior suite and had a hot tub on the balcony. The room was huge, clean, warm and little touches like the elemis toiletries and robes and slippers were nice. Hot tub was clean and plenty big enough for two of us. Had to be turned off at 11pm sos to not disturb other guest's, but we thought that was pretty reasonable. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful from start to finish. Amazing hotel. The staff made us feel very welcome especially Katie on reception. The front concierge was so friendly and helpfu. The guys over in the pub and the food was good too. Our junior suite with hot tub was fabulous, so comfortable. Perfect to enjoy a couples break.
