Really nice independent hotel. Very old fashioned - which was ok. Rooms can get a bit warm as there is no AC or temp control. We wouu you kid stay here again!

Lovely stay in a beautiful garden room. Came up to Cockermouth for a family occasion and the Trout didn’t disappoint. Very Covid safe. Friendly staff from the minute we checked in until we left. Super comfortable super king sized bed, fresh clean linens, quiet location in centre of town. Good lunch menu and breakfast. Service at breakfast was a bit disjointed and cooked breakfast was brought out before starters was finished but very accommodating with kiwi fruit allergy.
