Hotel was nice. Booked a twin room. Beds on castors and moved at slightest nudge, which was annoying. Food service was too slow for our evening meal. Even allowing for the starters it took an hour from arrival for mesl to arrive, not good with hungry child. And use of cheap and nasty sauces is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Tomato sauce was vile and something I would expect from a cheap burger van not a quality hotel. Mayonnaise also same cheap and nasty rubbish. No point in nice food if served with vile sauces. This is a shame as hotel if this standard with a pool and gym is a bonus, but my abiding memory is vile sauces.

I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Lovely helpful staff very spacious clean bedroom with twin beds as requested. We had a meal in the restaurant and breakfast both very tasty and plentiful. Thank you

Stayed as a family over a couple of rooms on our way through. The staff were lovely and helpful, very tolerant of kids and the building reasonably clean and the rooms also ok, although a little tired, but not terribly so. Same goes for the health club, although it’s actually quite well equipped. There were however some negative points. The room was outrageously hot - even with the heating off. The window only opens the most meagre crack, although this is likely mandated by health & safety (ridiculous, but not their fault), but without any climate control in the room whatsoever, made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep, even in February - I’d imagine it’s quite unbearable in the summer. Coupled with the fact that there is no water in the room (other than the tap - again, not a huge deal, but missing out on a nicety), it just missed the mark a bit for me. A shame really, given the wonderful staff reception and general facilities. Would I recommend it? Overall, yes. But bare my points in mind if you’re a cool sleeper!

The hotel was lovely service was great. The lady on the front desk when we arrived was pleasant but didn’t give us any information had to ask about the pool and gave us no information about dinner or breakfast times and where things were. Apart from that the experience was great and the food was nice but not a lot of choices for kids.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this hotel due to a planned boxing event. The whole of the ground floor was taken over by this event and changed the dynamics of our check in experience. We had to practically force our way through huge groups of young lads and their families which was quite intimidating. The lady behind the desk was overwhelmed and although she tried to give good service was a really bad first impression. There was no reference to this event when we booked (only a week before so they would have known about it) and had we known we would not have gone. Very disappointed.

The hotel was clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. I stayed with my two children (5 and 7). We had a double/single bad room which was spacious enough for the three of us, but you may want a family room if two adults and two children. The room was clean and more modern than I thought it would be. The room was hot at night, but we opened a window and that worked fine. The pool is old, but worked perfectly well. The changing rooms are small and it would have been nice to of had some separate cubicles to change in , especially with children. The breakfast was ok, simple but again it worked fine.

Overnight stay with my daughter, aged 6. Comfortable beds, room a little warm but soon fixed by opening window. Daughter loved pool which was nicely heated. Nice touch with a kids activity pack that had a cute teddy bear. Breakfast was very nice, good choice and excellent service. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
