The Old New Inn

We booked what we thought would be an idyllic property in the countryside for our honeymoon. It is overrun with families and small children because it has “the miniature village” attached to its property. Because of this the parking lot is full and there will be no designated parking for hotel guests. The hotel is locked up until 3 pm in the afternoon. The rooms have no AC it has a small Dyson fan that provides no relief. The windows are small and if you are in the room we were in open directly to the streets with no screens. Monday and Tuesday they serve no food. If you are a family with small children who don’t mind heat and limited food opportunities this may be the resort for you. If you are looking for an idyllic calm get away it is not.

Our room was roomy and decorated beautifully! There was a sitting area to relax and read or watch TV. A beautiful tub and shower area. The room was so much more than just a room. Every detail was attended too making our stay extremely relaxing and enjoyable. The location was perfect as you step outside and there are restaurants and shopping and right across the street is the river. Families and people were enjoying the grass and waiting in the river. Very nice family friendly and safe environment. Breakfast was wonderful and fresh in the morning. It was a wonderful parents breakfast and I will definitely recommend to anyone considering staying in the area
