We have been to Beadnell for our family holidays for years, staying in cottages etc and have always popped in to Beadnell towers for dinner, drinks etc As a birthday present to my wife I booked 2 nights in the hotel for just under £400,when we arrived we were told we wasn’t staying in the main hotel but in the new coach house! When we were shown to the room it was tiny, very dark and smelled horrible from the fact they allow dogs in the room, My wife was so upset,we thought we were staying in a boutique hotel room!! I told the receptionist and she spoke to the manager who said he’d give us a discount if we booked in again in the main hotel! So no reduction in the pokey room we were staying in,we would have to spend yet more money to get any sort of reimbursement! When you book there is no mention that you are not staying in the hotel and are in the very small smelly part where you can hear everything in all the other rooms! It ruined our stay as you couldn’t go and relax in our room after a walk or dinner! So very disappointed, will never go back there again even if they offered us a room in the hotel for free!
