Excellent service from start to finish by everyone at the hotel. Glen literally went the extra mile, collecting some of our family members from the wedding reception at midnight as they struggled to get a taxi! Only slight negative was the single room i was in. A bit tight for space, even for a single. Comfortable enough though for 2 nights. Good supply of tea, coffee, bottle water. Iron and board supplied when requested. We all ate in the restaurant, good food, well presented and served by friendly helpful staff on a very busy night. Really us all enjoy a lovely family get together to attend my granddaughters wedding. Thank you to Glen and your team. 😊

Lovely hotel, staff were very welcoming and Accommodated our late arrival and family queries. Comfy beds and good facilities. Lovely town with station and cafes/shops very near by. Worth bringing earplugs if you like to have a window open as there were some dogs barking all night and the trains were quite loud (but not frequent overnight) A lovely stay and we want to come back if we can!

We spent two nights here as a family of four and really enjoyed it. The room was lovely and clear and plenty of space for us all. We did not try the food so cannot comment but did experience the roof top terrace for a drink which was fabulous. Would recommend to anyone needing accommodation in the area.

A really nice hotel, in a great location in a lovely town. Lots of useful shops on your doorstep and as it's name implies next to the railway station. Our room was comfortable having had a recent makeover including the ensuite. All good. You can tell the owners were working hard to make their business a great place to spend some time. The only downside was the connecting door to the next room. There appeared to be no sound insulation to them (2x modern, lightweight, honeycombed 'cardboard' ones?) so you could hear everything our neighbours were talking about. Great if you need to hear what your children are up to, but not so with strangers. Solid doors lined with noise reducing plasterboard on the blind side might be an inexpensive solution and worth the effort.

We had a family get-together in Bolton le Sands, so only stayed one night in the Royal Station Hotel, but I can definitely recommend this establishment Evening meal is just next door, breakfast is full and satisfying, rooms are clean and comfortable. In short... no grumbles!

Hired a family room which came with a king sized bed and two single beds in a spacious and functional room. The bathroom was lovely. Seemed quite new and very clean. We ate in the pub and the food was incredible. Very friendly and helpful service.

When we arrived we were given a key to our room, as we entered the room there was a gentleman on the room in his underpants. It appeared our room was given to someone else. We were then given another family room on the 3rd floor and the lift only goes to the first floor. The family room was spacious however there was a bag of mouldy salad in the fridge and one of the glasses had black liquid in it. We didn’t get much sleep initially either due to the pub attached to the hotel which had live music until 23:30 hours, which if we had known we wouldn’t have booked the hotel. The shower screen in the bathroom leaked and water went all over the floor and the shower head had to be placed in high position otherwise it would drop and spray on the wall. Also one of the mattresses in the room, the springs appear to have gone around the edge so if you turned over in bed you would fall out of bed. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, the tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room were all very nice and it does look as though the owners have spent some money on the place. The main issue for us, having young kids, was the noise late into the night.
