Abbey House Hotel

Staying during the colder months the Winter Suite certainly lived up to its name. The suite was large but the radiators were not sufficient to keep it warm, the saving grace was the the underfloor heating in the bathroom. The dining room of an evening was often chilly and one evening I had to sit with my jacket on. The hotel at midweek was not at capacity so not sure if this was the reason the heating was turned down or off and as I person who feels the cold it was not pleasant. Also being informed at 9.30pm the bar was closing as the staff were going home was not great, we were away on a short break with family.

Amazing stay in a beautiful hotel with stunning grounds Bathroom was a little dusty in floor corners and the pillows a little hard but would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family ( but would bring own pillows ) Staff were very pleasant and helpful Choice of breakfast was good with waiter service
