Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa

Neither sauna nor steam was working. No access to spa despite of family suit. Swimming pool was closed at 6 pm.

Lovely hotel perfect for families

Staff are fantastic the food is brilliant (with exception to the world eatery many guests said the same). Pool isn’t cold enough and not big enough for a hotel of this size, the pool was always busy. Room was good but showing signed of age, the bed was like a brick and couldn’t get on with the pillows I tried three different ones from the pillow menu. Hotel was carrying out works which at times where noisy, numatic drills around the pool area, drilling around our room which I complained about and was told it would carry on for another 45 minutes this was gone 4pm, surely it would make sense to do this kind of work during the day when guests our not heading back to there rooms to get ready for the evening. Overall hotel was nice enough and good value, I would highly recommend for families but I would go elsewhere as a couple. The half board is great value with 6 different places to eat each evening, if you can get a good deal upgrading to a junior suite I would highly recommend for the club lounge access, breakfast is much quieter here and the service staff our incredible, afternoon tea in the lounge is also good and the evening drinks and snacks are great it’s worth it just for the drink alone if you get a good deal especially when a beer is £14 at the resort the alcohol is free flowing and good quality including a selection of cocktails. We paid £200 more for our suite some guests paid as much as £900 on arrival so look at this before you go.

Sat in the lobby as I write this review. Booked this hotel for my family and my wedding anniversary. Was a wonderful stay and experience. The cleaning staff are great. The valet service is top and not to mention the facilities. The beds are big and spacious lovely balcony and views. The amenities such as the shower gels are top stuff. Took me by surprise as I’ve stayed on many hotels on the palm. They catered to my every need and were flexible. No experience goes without hiccups or one or two problems. But how the staff and management handled it was top stuff. The only thing I can be a little critical on is the fact that there was a lot of children around even in the adult only sections of the hotel and beach.

Beautiful hotel, with great feel for a family Holiday. I’d recommend this hotel for families.

The hotel was lovely, and we had a wonderful stay. However? There are a few things that could improve. For example restaurant variety wasn’t that great! Could do with more choices. The club lounge was great and the staff was amazing. However the snacks on the evening could do with more improvement. Have salads and better finger food. The lunch time afternoon tea was great and that’s how’s the evening should be. Housekeeping could do woth improvement, most night we didn’t get turn down service. And rooms were cleaned very late in the day. But overall, we all good had a good time. It’s a beautiful family hotel. We will be going back.

Overall it was a good experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and amenities are nice. The resort is family-oriented so should be noted if you're travelling with/without kids. Taxi costs to tourist attractions were reasonable so did not feel "stranded" at the resort. Was surprised there wasn't a sushi and more fish options in general onsite. Also, while a bit of nuisance more than anything, our shower "room" never seemed to properly drain and a few times seeped into the room foyer. However, Sofitel Palm is an easy yes.

The service great! I would recommend it to both families and couples/ single travellers. It is very quiet and big, the personnel are very friendly and quick to respond to your requests. Would love to visit again
