Hotel Gumbet

This is a family run hotel. The owner and his partner are very personable even sharing his mobile to contact if we have issues. We were in room 201 which had a fantastic sea view. The room was well appointed with good air conditioning and fridge. There was tea making facilities but no kettle. Shower was excellent as was the cleaners. The room is a little tired but generally it was pleasant. The breakfast was a Turkish breakfast which was plentiful and fresh. The pool is really the hotels best feature along with the great staff, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The major downside is the location next to major nightclubs which blast out very loud music until 4am. If you are in Gumbet to party this is a great location, not so much if that isn’t your thing. It’s very loud and it’s all night There is a great restaurant 100 yards to the left if you don’t fancy the climb back into town.

Really, I made a good choice of a hotel. The Expedia points also had an influence that provided a discount. Normally, Gumbet in the summer is a youngsters paradise! This time of the year not so "musically" load, just a slice of music in the distance! The breakfast was exceptional! Thank you all the staff.

Our stay here was phenomenal! To begin, the staff were amenable to us shifting around the dates of our reservation as our prior lodging was terrible and we wanted to move on as quickly as possible. Additionally, we ended up having a friend that had to stay with us due to flight issues and Nes (the manager) not only didn’t charge us extra for having an extra guest but she also upgraded our rooms to accommodate us. Obviously she did not need to do that and we cannot express how happy we are with this. She also took the time to provide us with several nightlife and food recommendations which were stellar. Furthermore, the amenities were great. The pool area was clean with a great view, breakfast was nice, and the rooms were in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend staying here to friends and family
