Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort

We enjoyed our 4 nights at the Hyatt Kamala. It was a little further from the beach and Kamala but for 4 nights of great service, good food, great facilities we didn’t mind. Our kids had a great time in the very large and scenic pool and playing billiards etc. Well equipped for our stay. Thanks to the amazing staff.

Property is well maintained and the staff are very attentive to the guest needs. We had issues with the kid's room aircon on the last night of our stay and it was quickly resolved the next day. The only thing is that the hotel is not walking distance to any eateries or markets so you would have to take a taxi out. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

Everything was perfect. The far distance from the hotel to the Kamala beach and Patong wasn’t a problem at all, otherwise, we enjoyed and relaxed the quietness of it. The kids enjoyed golf car rides from and to the room. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Great hotel in quiet location. We started in the Family Room (w/ bunk beds) and its was a great room for our family of 4 (kids 9 & 12) Fantastic staff. Good breakfast options and specialist restaurants had good menus. A-la-carte food in the All Day Dining restaurant was not good.

Since the room is on a slope, it is difficult to go up and down on foot, but a cart will pick you up. Every hotel stuff is very friendly. The large infinity swimming pool is great. There is also a good program for children and it seemed to enjoy.

Excellent hotel with great service and facilities. Had a 2 bed room with the 2nd room designed for kids and it was painted with underwater scenes which they loved. Kids club was fantastic and both kids spent hours each day doing activities or just hanging out. Pool area was clean, kids would have liked a slide into the pool. Breakfast buffet was very good. Gym while clean with modern equipment was fairly small with limited weights, only good for cardio.

I booked the family room and it was rather small and only had a bathroom. There wasn't a door to separate the master bedroom from the common bedroom. The bathroom didn't come with a lock. Hence, my helper felt very insured when using the toilet. The toilet was so tiny. I am 5 feet tall and my legs were almost touching the wall when I use the toilet. It felt like a toilet in Hong Kong and not Phuket. I complained and the hotel was kind enough to change it to 2- King bed rooms. That's why I gave it a 2 stars. Else, it will be a one star. The housekeeping team was very forgetful. They either forgot to top up the tissue, towel or water. I had to call for top up everyday. The room also had a musty smell. Despite telling the hotel, the musty smell didn't go away. The room was old. Maintenance hadn't been done properly. While I was using the shower head, there was water trickling from the rain shower. It was a very unpleasant feeling. Breakfast was good. But top up was slow. However, the breakfast time was rather late at 7 am. It is inconvenient for guests going for day tours or rushing to the airport. Front-desk was good. May was very friendly. However, it seems like the front desk was very short handed. I was attracted to the kids club when I booked the hotel. However, I felt very disappointed when I was there. The kids club was very small and had 2 TVs in the kids club. Most of the children ended up watching TV. It should be called KIDS TV CLUB.

This is a perfect resort for families visiting Phuket. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the dining options are excellent, and the Camp Hyatt activities for kids are a perfect way to give parents some alone time.

If you are traveling with others be aware even the 2 bedroom units only have one bathroom. The resort is set on a steep hillside so either wait for golf cart ride or hike up steep hills to your room. The infinity pool is very nice and the rooms for a couple are great but two couples or a family with teenagers may not like the 2 bedroom units. The restaurants are not 5 star - average at best. The resort is also a car ride from anything else in the area. Rent a car.
