The Sands Khao Lak by Katathani

The resort is wonderful for kids. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds and facilities are clean and well kept up. The breakfast buffet was varied and something for everyone. We often sat there for an hour enjoying the breakfast and atmosphere. We loved the water park. Just have to pay attention to the schedule for the slide and lazy river. But the kids got used to that and enjoyed it so much that they even used it in the rainy days. The beach is walkable but no one was using the many lounging chairs because it was rainy season with red flags warnings. I highly recommend this resort for anyone who has children

The hitel is great, ita perfect for family and kids. We had access pool and that was one of the best room in Thailand. The staff was nice but not so useful, we try to ask thung in the restaurants and they make a face. The other stuff was very nice and helpful

Great place for a family holiday. Kids 5 and 7 absolutely loved it. Went to kids club daily which got them out of the heat. Loved the slides, kids water park. The pools were hot, not refreshing. The rooms had great air con, which was needed as it was so hot. We ate outside the hotel every night, and easy to get tuk tuk, or walk. Lots around this hotel. Would highly recommend to families was young kids.

Way too many people staying there. Adult pool not monitored and taken over by kids. Customer service was not outstanding. The facilities are good, though.

Our stay The Sands was wonderful. We had high expectations for our long awaited trip to Khao Lak and having already had a week of hectic sightseeing in busy Phuket, we were delighted to arrive to Khao Lak to a relaxing resort but with enough to keep the children entertained. We loved the local area which provided so many options for shopping and eating out. We had a swim up family room which had excellent facilities and was beautifully furnished. I have literally zero complaints!

Fantastic for children. The only thing was that I wish they would enforce the Sun bed policy if someone leaves for an hour they will remove the beach towels at times people were holding 4 or 5 Sun beds but were gone for the day

Liked that it was right on the beach and close to small town. Liked that it had a water park and kids club on site. Did not like that it was very crowded and too many people, too few sun beds. Staff were also not very Good at understanding English.

Great hotel to stay with kids at. The kids club and water park are huge and the food in the beach restaurant is amazing. Unfortunately there is only a small beach you can’t lay on. And it’s so humid that we weren’t able to get fresh air in our room cause of the Moskitos.

We stayed at three different hotels in Khao Lak and this is the best hotel for family! - Great amazing water park - Super fun kids park - Close to the beach - Close to restaurants - friendly staff - Great value for your money! Highly recommend this hotel!
