JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa

The hotel was really great, every part of it, especially the restaurants. The only issue we had was that even we booked half board 2 adults 1 child at the checkin there was an issue with the child as the hotel mentioned the dinner was not included. It would be great in the future to avoid such situations

Excellent beach, lovely hotel facilities, various dining options. Staff is very friendly, although restaurant staff need some proper training. Overall we had really relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. Would recommend Khao Lak beach and JW Marriott to everyone who is looking for a family friendly holiday destination.

Nice hotel for family

Beautiful property with amazing amenities for families.

What a beautiful luxurious resort. It perfectly balances being family friendly and adult friendly. The pool access rooms are the best.

This is a wonderful hotel with many amenities. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. The beach is superb, one of the few almost pristine ones left in Thailand. The only downside is the size: it’s a huge resort, with many people and quite a bit walking. On the upside, you get fantastic pools, great beach chairs, etc. Really great especially for families.

Great place for a family with kids. All restaurants are reasonably priced with food of good quality. Excellent service, all staff very good at all levels.

The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of facilities etc. Note though the resort is big which adds to more people, loud kids etc. We found the room smaller than other 5star resorts in Thailand. We had a swim-up room which was great. Room feels however little tired..bathroom not as nice as their sister hotel Le Meridien Khao Lak. The breakfast was amazing,however again too many people and noisy so we didnt really enjoy a calm relaxing morning (despite eating early or later). If you prefer fine dining day out and in this is the place for you. We preferred to also try the local thai on-the-beach restaurants, some had genuine nice food others not so nice. JW restuarant Olive had a child buffe for thb300 (ca eur10) which was good. Overall their adult menu pizza/pasta was really nice! The large pool is amazing,you can find your own private spot. We stayed on wing 3,sunny side and that suited us well. Here you also have the kids slide,super fun! You can also rent bikes (1hour for free) (kids/adult bikes) and that was great. Overall we liked the hotel but will not stay again as we prefer a smaller resort and North Khao Lak area much better.
