Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa

My experience there was delightful. The resort is in a quiet calm place. Excellent destination for honeymooners and family.

It was a great place to spend time without thinking about anything. One thing I would like to see improved is the shuttle service within the hotel grounds. Please note that if you choose a room far from the pick-up location, you will have to walk a considerable distance. However, it seems that small children, pregnant women, and people who require assistance will be transported by cart.

This is a hidden gem! Excellent service from the moment I arrived to the moment we left! They made it truly a wonderful vacation. Only thing I would let people know that there are a lot of kids around the resort. It didn’t bother us personally, but if that is something you are not looking for would not recommend. Really enjoyed personally!

We enjoyed the rooms with balcony and bay views. The pools and beach were refreshing and convenient. Food service excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. We enjoyed excursion to nearby elephant sanctuary and private speed boat island hopping and snorkling for our family.

Santhiya resort on Koh Yao Yai island is a one of a kind experience. I accidentally booked a non-refundable stay here thinking it was on Phi Phi island (where I originally wanted to go) and despite the difficulty in getting there…I was extremely impressed with the overall experience. I have to applaud the staff and management at this resort. You can tell a lot of through went into creating an unforgettable experience. From transportation services around the hotel to the efficient buffet, every little detail has been thought out. In addition to efficiency, the staff are so kind and attentive. The resort also feels safe. In regards to the atmosphere- Santhiya is incredibly relaxing. That being said, if you’re looking for “night out vibes” you won’t find that on the resort but you can walk down the beach for places that offer drinks and music. Santhiya is a place for family and couples. They have free 30min kayak and paddle board rentals, offer Muay Thai and Yoga classes and have two incredible massage facilities. You won’t be bored at any point in your stay. My partner and I booked the pool suite and the views and room was incredible. One note, the villa we booked did not have sun during the day, so if you’re looking to sunbathe from your room just double check that detail. My favorite part of the resort was the food. We have traveled the world and this was one of our favourite places. What a paradise! The beach is breath taking and service was unparalleled. We never had to wait for anything. I would recommend it for romantic getaway or family vacation. Stunning jewel in Thailand.

The resort is beautiful however the service was horrible. Myself nor my husband felt welcomed. I will never return to Santhiya again nor will I recommend to any of my family nor friends.

We traveled with two teenagers and one child the beginning of June 2023. All of us had an amazing time and experience. We had an incredible view from our villa. The villa was clean and neat, with plenty of space for a family of five. The staff was always friendly specially in the restaurant best service. Getting from one side to another in the resort wasn’t hard at all, the transportation was always a call away. Never waited more then 3 minutes for a ride. We would return in the future with family and friends.

Property was clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The systems are so efficient that they do master the art of total convenience, what you would want out of a vacation experience. Even leaving to explore the island, everyone is friendly, peaceful and the entire island is clean. You don’t see any poverty or homelessness or have any experiences of people even begging you for anything. Everyone minds their own business and they let you be. I would definitely recommend this hotel and entire island for an awesome place for either a vacation alone or with your family.
