With so many hotels in Bangkok, we will not use this hotel ever again simply due to poor customer service. Our small size family of 3 (Thai) were comfortable sharing a room with 2 beds, but the front desk demanded we pay $80 U.S. dollars for a roll-a-way bed we did not need or would not use and they refused to let us check-in until we paid the $80 U.S. dollars in cash. We should have left the hotel, but they sternly informed us that none of our prepaid reservation would be refunded. During our stay we had an important event to attend in the morning. But the hotel's power was out so we were forced to prepare in a dark room with no air con, etc. When we would ask staff about the power outage (which was just the hotel and not the area), their response demonstrated total apathy and insensitivity. We received no explanations or apologies from the staff. The hotel is in an excellent location, but we will never give any of our business to this hotel again. The staff would even make clumsy attempts to ask us the day before what we were planning to order for breakfast the next day. Do they not realize that people visiting Bangkok might have more to think about or discuss than how they might want their eggs cooked or what kind of toast they want the following day?? There are many more hotel options at this price point in Bangkok so thankfully we never have to worry about unsatisfactory customer service experiences from this hotel spoiling any of our future trips.
