We stayed for one night at the Family Suite at The Howard Taipei Hotel - very impressed with the children's space set up including a themed double-bunk bed that comes with a slide , a children's table and chair set, magnetic white board walls and several educational toys ! Fair to say that both our child and us the adults have enjoyed the space :) as for the other room, you have a regular king bed and a working desk , a classic and comfortable washroom with separated bath tub & shower. The entire room looks very well maintained (or probably revamped in the recent years), clean and just enough lighting. We will definitely come back to this hotel and to stay for more nights the next round! ♡♡♡

The property worked very well for our family vacation in Taiwan. Our suite was a good value with two rooms, one with a king bed the other with two twin beds, a crucial feature when managing two teenage children and jet lag. The included breakfast buffet and large gym were great for us before going off for daily adventures. The Howard was also able to arrange a capacious van for airport pickup and drop off. The staff was friendly and professional, and most of them speak good English. The only small drawback of this hotel is that as an older property that has been serving travelers for ~40 years; our room(s) did not have many free electrical outlets for charging devices- be sure to bring an outlet strip.

What a fantastic breakfast buffet - not only was it delicious but it gave our family time to visit. A very classy place and great location. It was a short walk to Sogo, the dept store with a branch of Din Tai Fun, the dumplinig place located in the building. The flower and jade market are in easly walking distance, held on the weekend. Great hotel! We were there 12 nights and never got tired of being in the hotel. Breakfast was delicious in the mornings. Front office staff very friendly and helpful to get taxis or uber, make restaurant recommendations, etc. Hotel was spotless and staff did a great job tiding room every day. Beds are hard but didn't seem to bother us, we slept like babies every night! Would definitely stay there again if in Taipei.

I stayed here for 9 days with 3 kids and had a great experience. The service was excellent, staff very helpful. Rooms good size. Many amenities such as free bottled water, nice slippers, toiletries, kids playroom. Pool good for kids, max 1.5 meters deep. Many good restaurants on premises including a bakery, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Taiwanese, and western style, and bento takeaway. Buffet breakfast very good, with many options incl fresh tropical fruit, congee, steamed buns, udon/soba, omelettes, continental options, espresso machine. Bus stop right in front of hotel and MRT station only short walk away.
