Central Plaza Hotel

The Hotel is in a great location, close to shopping and transport. There are two restaurant options as well as the option for breakfast. The more casual eating area and bar had very good staff. The reception staff were disappointing with their unhelpfulness and they were very unorganised with our booking. Unfortunately the rooms are the smallest Hotel rooms we've ever seen. The average room is small and even their junior suite is small to the point of not having enough room to open two suitcases. Even though the position was good I don't think we'd stay there again.

Stayed here for a week. Despite being next to tram stops and a busy street, room was quiet and spacious (junior suite). The staff were friendly and hotel was clean and pleasant. The location is great, with a short walk to train station and nearby restaurants. Area felt safe enough. Only minor complaint was restaurant wait staff took a long time for service (eg getting bill was 20 minutes).

This hotel is dated and too expensive for the quality . It's only Because of the Location by the train station . My room was a junior suite but it felt like a dorm room at college in the vault roof . I would not recommend it

Excellent service and a lovely room (junior suite) with a great sitting area. Perfect for a board game with our friends. Perfect location!

Wonderful,place in an excellent location. Great junior suite with a to die for shower! Fast and friendly service in the bar for breakfast and drinks at night. Handy umbrellas offered and most likely needed! Front desk personnel very nice and our room was spotless. Ate at Mere Catherine and the Helvetia Hotel restaurants and both were excellent. The Hotel Storchen bar is a good place to have a drink and people watch as well as the one we were staying in.

We booked two rooms with confirmation at least one month in advance, but when we arrived close to midnight because of plane cancellation, we were told that only one room was available to us. The hotel booked one room at a cheaper hotel elsewhere and offered to get a taxi for us to go there. We were traveling with our kids so we refused to be separated. The staff were unmoved, but we persisted and after one hour they finally gave us the room they were reserving for another guest who had not shown up. By the time we got to the room it was after 1am. The hotel claimed that the other party had given them the credit card number, but so have we through Travelocity. The manager was not around to address our concerns. This hotel has no integrity and should not be trusted with advance booking.
