Vienna House zur Bleiche Schaffhausen

Our room bathroom sink piping was leaking the entire time during our stay. We brought that up to the management multiple times but it was ignored. My family and i were not happy with the situation and we weren't offered a room relocation or immediate fix by the staff. Strongly recommend to avoid booking this hotel.

Excellent location, right next to the train station, and the old town. Many eateries and shops. Nice reception staff, we managed to get an early check in. Linked to the basement carpark. We stayed in a suite (sofa bed opens up for 2 kids) and the room is big and well appointed. Only issue was lack of proper curtains at the sofa bed side. Overall a great place to stay for a visit to the area.

Great location, easy access from the station. We had convenient connected rooms for family of 4. Friendly staff and very clean rooms.

As a family of 3 we took a junior sweet. Our child slept on a sofa bed in the lounge. The room was spacious and comfortable for 3. Our only complaint was that the lounge curtains were not very heavy so that part of the room got very bright early in the morning. The bedroom benefited from heavier curtains and a very comfortable bed. Don’t be put off by the nearby train station, the rooms are quiet day and night. This location is ideal for coming to Schaffhausen by train; there are regular direct connections to and from Zurich airport. The hotel location is a 3 minute walk from the old town which is beautiful! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the only minor quibble we had was that the advertised free drinking water was not in our room. The staff did supply us with carafes of drinking water on request however. A wide variety of breakfasts are on offer and they are of an excellent standard. We would happily stay here again as Schaffhausen itself is beautiful, there is a lovely riverside walk to the Rhine Fall waterfall which is about 3kms away.
