Eiger Lodge Chic

The family room worked great for us. My only complaint was the shower was not private and got the whole room wet. Bad design. Everything else was great—especially the views!

Close to train station. Basic family room with king bed (two twins) and also twin bunk beds. No shower curtain, not even an option for. Not sure what they were thinking since there were 4 people in the room. Needed a fan, staff was able to supply. Would be nice if there was more than 1 washer and 1 dryer.

The staff Sarah is very nice, and her suggestion for the tour and places are great! The dining option is awesome, my family and I had a good time during the stay.

Loved this hotel and perfect room for a family of 4 or less. Great location and easy transportation on the bus.

Really great views! We had a chic room that didn’t have a balcony you could actually sit on but a door opened up and the views were still incredible. The breakfast was also very good. You can ride two different trains and two different gondolas right from the hotel (basically at Grindelwald Terminal). Not many restaurants especially since the grill was closed when we’d were there but it’s easy to get to Grindelwald with a few minute train ride and the area around Eiger Lodge has less tourists and easier access to great hiking and biking and also Jungfraujoch. One strange thing was our shower had no door so if family members were walking from main bedroom to the room door, you could see directly into the shower. The only door inside was on the small toilet room. Sink and shower both had no door. Fine for a couple but not great for our family of 4 with two teenage kids. We’d stay here again for the convenience to public transportation, the breakfast, and most importantly, the incredible views!
