Had a family room for kids with a bunk bed. Nice, chic, European hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet, very nice staff. Docking a star because the air conditioning in the summer was rough. It’s auto controlled for the entire hotel, and it felt like our room was nearly 80 degrees. Gym was also bare bones. But good location and European vibes.

I liked the location. The hotel had changed since my last visit and there was no longer a reception area. The pride in the history of the building and attention to period detail seemed to have disappeared. There was no fridge in the room. The paint in the room was in poor condition and chippped. There was no switch on one of the overhead reading lights. The bedside lights looked as though they had been made by a schoolchild - the stem was not straight but leant to one side and they were badly painted.The whole feeling was that there was more emphasis on eating and drinking and less that it was actually a hotel with guests.
