Hotel Primus Valencia

It was a lovely hotel but; I took the junior suite because the description indicated that the room had a tub. It did not! This was a very disappointing find upon our arrival.

Was recommended by a family member didn’t disappoint. Beautiful room lovely bathroom Clean towels everyday.. only thing was the breakfast which we paid once for the eggs and bacon were cold but other than that a good standard of food maybe the smoking area outside the hotel entrance should be kept cleaner. definitely stay again.

A family weekend trip

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Primus. Because kids were not allowed in the Spa area, we could not use it. By bad wetter it wozld be great if the kids can use the indoor pool.

I took my two kids (9 and 11) for 6 nights. Highlights were the rooms - I booked family room and had 2 connected rooms - the pool (smaller than it looks but rarely too busy - but more for playing and cooling off) and breakfast selection. Poor wifi was the only negative - weak and intermittent. Location was convenient - near shops and El Rio/City of Arts - but in the main road so busy and traffic is audible (but not annoying) even on the top floor. Staff were very friendly and responsive but I wouldn’t say proactive. Very much seated behind reception and there was little sense of welcome or greeting as we came and went. Bike hire from local rental Bike and Roll (€10/day) is much cheaper than from hotel About 25-30 mins walk from main beach (20 mins to port area which is worth seeing too) Didn’t seem to have much in place in terms of sustainability - usual high use of plastic, replacing all towels daily etc Recommended nonetheless

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is still very good value for money and a family room is in fact two rooms separated by doors, ideal for a family of four. And its location is in my opinion the best: outside the noisy city centre and within 25 minutes from the beach by bus. The only reasons I won't give it more than 4 is because certain things are starting to look tatty: blinds, toilet accessories and more importantly beds are now noisy and not as comfortable as last year.
