An excellent family run hotel on the outskirts of Dénia, well situated for either a walk into town or along the beautiful Las Marinas beach.

We were a party of four staying in this absolutely "First Class hotel". Check in was a breeze with Corinne and Berna. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean with everything you would ever need including air conditioning. There is a swimming pool & tennis court. The beach is accessed through a private gate and the town of Denia is a 20 minutes walk. Evening meal was excellent with numerous courses cooked to perfection for 13 Euros pp. Breakfast was equally delicious with choices of cooked or continental. I have to mention the waitresses who are extremely kind & helpful, Ana & Christina. Well done Hotel Rosa we will all be coming back and recommending to friends & family.

Hotel Rosa felt like a real family-run hotel, with Rosa herself clearly involved in the day-to-day business. The level of the staff's English is pretty good so don't be worried if you don't speak Spanish. On the flip side, if you want to improve your Spanish, they are only too happy to oblige and talk to you in Spanish. I think some of the staff also speak French and a little German. The food is cooked well and nicely presented, especially the fish. You don't get a choice with the starters (3 tapas) so make sure you tell the waiter/waitress if you don't like something, e.g. seafood ("el marisco"). There weren't many vegetarian options on the menu as it's typically food from that area with several local speciality dishes you won't find elsewhere in the region. The red wine was decent, although there were only 2 to choose from. The hotel is quiet at night as it's a mile out of town. There's the odd dog barking but at least no car alarms (the hotel makes you disable your car alarm and they have a night watchman). You can walk to town via the beach (about half the distance), then the remainder is on the pavement. The double room was a good size with a small balcony, big enough for 2 people. The en-suite bathroom was adequate, with a very good shower and instant hot water. This was February so there wasn't much of a chance to use the pool or patio outside, but they looked well maintained.
