The room was great. My family lived the shower. The only complaint we had was the TV was not a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon, Disney, etc. and we couldn’t get the AC to work. Since we couldn’t turn the AC on, we slept with the window open and it was somewhat loud outside. Other than that, we really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was also very nice!

The staff were excellent. We arrived early and had t store our bags. We were out when the room was ready and they automatically moved all our bags to the room. We had to leave early the next morning and they packed us a picnic lunch to take with us. The property is in a very nice, walkable neighborhood. We were a family of four and had a queen bed and two singles.

Pros- The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Everyone at the front desk spoke English and was happy to help with any questions we had. The location of the hotel is very convenient. The Metro station is feet from the entrance of the hotel. There are lots of restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. You can walk to Gran Via in less than 15 minutes. The room was large and the bunkbeds are great for kids. Cons- The bathroom was the worst part of the room. There was no shower door just a glass pane and it was impossible to not end up with a puddle on the floor. There was no fan or window in the bathroom which meant that everything ended up being wet and took forever to dry after using the shower. The mattresses were pretty hard and the pillows were more for looks than any comfort. The worst part over all though was that the restaurants right outside of the hotel were very, very loud. Loud music, yelling, sirens etc until about three in the morning every night we were there- even during the week- which made it extremely hard to sleep.

This boutique hotel is lovely.... Great location and character which is why we came back a second time. Room 309 is awesome for a family of four with two balconies overlooking Plaza Santa Barbara and a giant bathroom. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet with tasty and ample healthy choices. In the evening, the restaurant has really delicious tapas like mini plates. The crew Joam, Alex and Jose are really nice/friendly hosts and accommodating and very sensitive to allergy issues. The menu is color coded for all allergens for families that may have allergy issues. Overall a great stay -- we would love to come back again....
