Hotel ILUNION Barcelona

I booked a junior suite with balcony for my parents for 5 nights and although the room looks nice there are some serious issues: 1. The room gets boiled (not just hot) from the sun as the curtains do not block anything and the windows are not that efficient. 2. Although it was hot in March the central A/C is working as heating ONLY during these months and they could not take the temperature down. The answer was to open the windows which was doing nothing and they ended up sweating and not being able to stay inside. Also they did not offer any alternative or other room as this type of rooms are all on that side of the building. 3. They had no sleepers when we asked and even for espresso capsules they asked to charge 2.2€ each if they wanted extra (they offered only 2 capsules upon arrival!!) The corridors and elevator was smelling pot every day too! Paying over 1K in low season should at least offer the minimum basics…being able to stay inside the room and sleep. The breakfast was good - the only positive

there was no skid free mat in the tub and the desk clerk was not too helpful
