Hotel Indigo Barcelona - Plaza Catalunya, an IHG Hotel

Nice comfortable hotel , we were 5 in the family and spent 5 nights.

The hotel staff are absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and attentive to our needs. The rooms were very clean and perfect for our family trip. The location is extremely ideal to explore local places on foot and use public transport.

Central hotel, our family all enjoyed the stay. Would stay here again whilst in Barcelona

First, The good points. Lovely room, not too small, clean, lovely bathroom with a huge shower. The double bed was huge but a little too hard for me, but my husband loved it so down to personal choice whether you prefer a medium or hard mattress. Our son was in the sofa bed but it was far too uncomfortable so he slept on the sofa as it was more comfortable as a sofa than a bed. The pool was much smaller than in the photographs on the website and the chlorine levels in the pool needs looking at as my son and I both turned green. Fortunately this was temporary as it came off after showering, except for my bleached hair which still remains green after three days. One of the hotel managers inspected us as well as another young girl from another family and promised to look into it, and asked for a room number. Unfortunately I was very disappointed that she never got back to me at all. Needless to say my son and I didn’t risk getting into the pool again. She asked me if we had had a pleasant stay. I said very much so, the only unfortunate thing being that the pool incident hadn’t been resolved. She told me there was no issue with the pool and that it had only happened to me. Categorically untrue as the mngr saw the green marks on me, my son and another girl. For this reason alone alone I would not return to this hotel.

Hotel was very good, clean and modern with a nice small swimming pool and a small but nice gym. The swimming pool area was nicely furnished and we enjoyed having coffee and eating lunch there while enjoying the sun and pool with kids. Shops and center are just a few blocks away. No complains! Would definitely stay here again.
