Insotel Fenicia Prestige Suites & Spa

The Hotel is reasonable nice but unfortunately is lacking in some qualities that ever 5 star hotel should have. The staff was overall very friendly but too few to properly manage a hotel this size. The room was quite basic and spartanly furnished with a very small and a sofa. Unfortunately they forgot to refills the shampoo prior to our arrival , which was a bit of a nuisance. They also charged us 6 euros for each 500ml bottle of water. All that being said , it is still qiute a nice hotel and I can see older or middle aged couples enjoying it a lot as it seems very child friendly and family oriented.

At check-in i was told i got a free upgrade - to a junior suite. this room was full of mold. the smell was so strong, i got a headache after just 5 minutes there. they sent a cleaning-lady in with LYSOL!? TOILET SPRAY - to cover the mold I asked for a full refund as they did not have any more rooms available. NOT possible, even hotels.com customer service could not solve it for me. I wanted the refund so i could stay at another hotel . after 2! hours in the lobby, they found a room without view (what i paid for) the manager called me and said he would fix me some spa-treatments and more. all i got was a plate of 5 desserts sent to my door, when i was leaving for dinner. never heard back from the manager - he is a liar and do not take his word for ANYTHING. Nothing about this "resort" is 5 stars worthy. its old and dingy.
