Áurea Catedral by Eurostars Hotel Company

We had a nice clean spacious junior sweet with one double bed and one wide extrabed. Peaceful during night. Location of the hotel in the middle of the city of Granada was very pleasant. The parking facility in this hotel was essential for us.

A great base for seeing the sights of Granada on foot or via the local buses if your legs aren't up to hills of the old town or walking up to the Alhambra. Wonderful location with lots of local cafes, bars and restaurants. Very comfortable rooms with excellent bathrooms. Although the publicity information says there is a restaurant, they only offer a couple of club sandwich options and there is no bar as such, but they will serve you a sandwich and/or drink in tbe evening if you ask. The 'restaurant' is really used as a breakfast room although we went out to local cafes for breakfast. The hotel was very clean and staff were kind and very helpful when our son was taken ill for a couple of days mid-stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Aurea Catedral is in a fantastic location, directly across from the burial crypt of Ferdinand and Isabella and cathedral. There are many restaurants and shops within a five minute walk. The Alhambra is a 10-15 minute taxi or a good 30 minute uphill walk. Pros: The hotel is clean and modern with very helpful staff. The staff really were great. The junior suite is very large with a separate, step-down office area. There is an interesting archaeological site on property- be sure to check it out. Cons: The breakfast buffet is standard, and could use better food options. The pool/Turkish bath is not functioning currently. The fitness is basic, but has the essential. Tips: The cathedral ticket is separate from the Fernidand and Isabella crypts. See a flamenco show in a traditional gypsy cave (La Cueva de Rocio is very popular). Book your Alhambra tickets 6 weeks to 3 months out as they sell out quickly.

We stayed in the junior suite and it was fantastic! 3 of our 4 balconies overlooked the Granada Cathedral which was across the street. The room was lovely and very comfortable
