Ohtels Campo De Gibraltar

Hotel was clean and conveniently located. Easy walk to local restaurants and Gibralter. Upon arrival staff was cold, unwelcoming and rude, no offer of map or information. Both nights people partied in hallway until 3-4am with kids playing soccer in hallway, screaming and yelling. Bed terribly uncomfortable, which combined with noise made sleep difficult. No air movement in hotel room with false representation of air conditioning which I was rudely told is only in use during summer. Staff aware of false statements and didn’t care. Requested a fan for air movement but staff responded coldly, “No”. Have never stayed in a hotel where staff is so rude and unwilling to assist. Also, huge area of black mold on ceiling in shower. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel, this one is totally not worth it.

The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the Gibraltar border/airport, and I was happy to pay the parking fee for the convenience of in-and-out privileges. The junior suite was the size of an apartment, with a wrap around balcony facing the Rock and marina. Exactly what I was looking for, and at a great price.

The hotel is ok, but the food was a disappointment, cold potatoes and salty, vegetables cold, the pork was warm. Cold beans and salty cild mushroom. Next night the pork chops were boans with no meat. The evening meals did not come any where near excepted stands. Thiswas a shame. There was child singing which was all that was on, the last time they had mowtown music which was very pleasant.

The only good thing about the hotel is the location. Easy access to Gibraltar. The room was dirty, we found a sock under the bed and when my little child try to get his fallen toy he came out covered in filth! Perhaps no one has cleaned it in weeks. The beds are very uncomfortable. We had booked a room for 3 people and the beds were lined to the cupboard, so there is no way to use it to keep things! The parking is not well explained-one needs to first risk parking on the street where ticket inspectors are constantly walking, then get checked in, then get a key to enter the car park! none of this is explained when booking. The breakfast is alright, decent spread, though fresh cooked omelette is a disaster. Overall, if your only purpose is to visit Gibraltar then it maybe considered. Otherwise one is better off staying in Marbella and driving, parking the car in car park by the border.
