Shilla Stay Cheonan

It is a nice hotel to stay with family. I would be better if the lobby area is brighter than now. Lobby and the hallway area seem to be a little dark.

--this place has "name brand" appeal, what with it being part of the Shilla family, but even though the stay was comfortable, it doesn't live up to its billing --the door to the bathroom was a large, heavy, wooden sliding door, but we couldn't figured out how to close it. I could have tried harder, and put more physical exertion into trying to close it, but I didn't want to spend the time or energy doing that -- and honestly, if you have to spend any amount of time figuring out how to physically close a bathroom door, there is something terribly wrong with the design --the beds were clean and comfortable and in great condition, but the rest of the room (including the bathroom door, but not the rest of the bathroom) was getting a bit worn out, and the overall decor felt stripped down (not in a stylish minimalist way, but more as if someone had made off with some of the furnishings) --this last point might seem minor, but it was kind of lousy, all things considered: our booking was a package deal offered by the hotel, so it came with two beers. *But* we had to have the beers in the hotel bar (and in 2021, of all years), so there was nothing like a mini-bar service. I thought this a lousy deal. what if we had checked in during the hours when the bar was closed? as it happened, the bar was still open for a little longer, but we arrived there at 9:30pm and were tired, and wanted to take the drinks to our room. the bar let us, but only after delaying saying it was unusual
