Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae

The room and toilet is clean. Bed is really comfortable. The staff left drinking water for us daily. Location is unbeatable, it’s just beside the subway station (which has an airport line) and the airport bus also stops just outside the hotel. Whilst room is on the small size, it was sufficient for 2 adults. Won’t recommend for families with young children though

I was staying in a family room for two nights. there was bad smell in the room for the whole night, smelt a bit like sewage and garbage. The door latch was broke, the shower curtain Rod dropped down and the shower curtain smelt bad as well. Temperature control was basically not functioning, although the smart connection with iPhone was good. Breakfast was really bad, not much choices and taste extremely average. The ending time for breakfast is 10:00am but no staff reminded us that the cut off time is 9:30am, so when we arrived at 9:40am we were not allowed to enter. If love busking music, this would be a great place but if you prefer a more silent room please do not go as you could hear the HongDae street performance the whole evening until it ends. As a final reminder, the entrance of the hotel is not convenient for taxi drop off as the road was jammed at peak hours.
