Ekonomy Hotel Incheon

Our daughter (age 19) is doing a homestay in Korea. Where she was staying was going to be without water for 3 days and while the family had someone place to go, it would be a bit crowded with her there. So rather than having her be with no water for 3 days, she wanted to try and find a hotel. Booking through hotels.com from Colorado, while was she was in Incheon was fantastic and so easy. We were able to find a location 5minutes from her apartment. The hotel was wonderful and the price was fantastic! She said the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. From assisting her with her luggage, to just making sure she had everything she needed. They attempted to help her in English and were very friendly and welcoming. It was in a great location with plenty of shops close by. It is a basic hotel, but had everything she needed, was clean and well designed, including a refrigerator in the room. She said that for an economy hotel it beat most of the mid range places she has stayed in the US.

This is not a region of the Seoul area that western tourists often visit (the taxi driver who dropped us off seemed perplexed that we would stay in the area!). Nonetheless, the staff at this hotel did a great job, with limited English, to make us feel welcome. The manager carried our bags to our room, gave us a map and detailed directions, rushed to hold the door open for our baby in a stroller, and was always cheerful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable enough for our needs. There's a small cafe at the bottom of the building. If you are coming to Seoul/Incheon as a tourist there are much more interesting areas to stay, but for us it was convenient as we were here to visit a family member teaching English at a nearby school. There's lots of shops and restaurants around and a nearby subway stop.
