The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City Resort

The entire holiday was an unforgettable first class experience from arrival to checkout. We stayed for 9 nights as a family holiday. Facilities and food were all excellent. The steaks in the Grill Room were among the best we have ever had. Staff could not do enough to help and were really friendly. Would love to come back

Unbelievable hotel!! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Great customer service, the hotel is a real palace, amazing architecture and decorations. The place also Sun city is a must go with great activities for a couple with or without kids. We did Quad, zip line, safari, pools, spa you name it!!!! Love this place and will definitely come back!!!

The hotel is located within the huge Sun City complex which has a ton of activities to keep adults and kids busy. The fact that the property is only a 5min drive from the Pilanesberg park makes the location exceptional and going on a safari a breeze. The hotel is perfect for families and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have the flexibility of doing a mixture of safaris and daily activities. My only complaint is that we didn’t receive any VIP Access amenities during our stay.

The hotel architecture is very unique which is located in a huge area surrounded by gardens and waterfalls. Breakfast is very good with many varieties. Staff is not attentive sometimes. The sound proof of rooms is not good enough when we could hear kids running screaming in corridor in early morning. It was a pleasant stay overall.

One of the best experiences of our family's life. It was super super wonderful. We woukd recommend this stay to everyone.

A great place for the kids

We stayed at the Palace for 4 nights after an amazing Safari experience in Madikwe Game Reserve (2 hour drive away). The hotel grounds were stunning, as was the hotel itself. The hotel provides access to the Valley of the Waves which is a short walk from the hotel. The whole family loved the water park which we ended up visiting every day for a few hours of wave pool. slides and lazy river. The shuttle service took us wherever we needed to go to reach the various activities around Sun City (zipline, segway tour, etc.). There is no gym at the hotel which I thought was strange for such a huge hotel. You have to take a shuttle to the spa at the golf course. On the plus side, I did get to book a massage after my workout. Overall a great experience!

Minimum 7-star quality, impeccable service, quality and value for money. Similar feel and style to that of Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Valley of the Waves was great as was The Grill dining room. Great breakfast selection, really comfortable beds and friendly staff. Will definitely come back one day and bring the whole family.

The Palace was ah-may-zing! Hotel staff were friendly, the decor was so over-the-top that it was cool, the breakfast buffet was incredible (champagne bellinis! A piano man!), and the pool area, simply perfect. I really enjoyed our stay there, despite only being there for one night, and also appreciated that we could stay and enjoy the facilities till late on the day of our departure. These facilities included the Sun City Water Park (fun for adults and kids alike) and the intricately decorated Grand Pool. I highly recommend getting a room with a view of the pool just to appreciate just how grand the pool is. What was the main highlight of our stay though? It would have to be the shower. I'm not sure what they did or how they did it, but the shower in our room was the best shower I ever had.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palace. We enjoyed all of the creature comforts offered from the welcome cocktails to the choice buffet breakfast.
